• Paolo Dell’ Antonio is leaving the company at his own request after 18 years
  • Michael Volke will become CEO with effect from October 1, 2016
  • Florian Rehm will take up the position of chairman of the supervisory board with effect from October 1, 2016

Paolo Dell’ Antonio, 52, executive board spokesman, has announced that he will be leaving the company at the end of September 2016 at his own request in order to seek new professional challenges. Michael Volke, 51, executive board member since 2008, has been appointed as CEO with ef- fect from October 1, thereby providing the continuity needed to pursue the company’s long-term strategy.

“We greatly regret Mr. Dell’ Antonio’s decision,” explains Berndt-Michael Winter, chairman of the supervisory board of Mast-Jägermeister SE. “He has delivered some outstanding achievements for the company, but we nonetheless understand the decision he took some time ago now to explore new avenues after 18 successful years. We would like to thank him for agreeing to remain with our company until the end of September in order to complete the integration of the acquired sales company in the USA, the biggest project yet in the company’s history. We wish him all the best for the future.” The supervisory board has begun the external search for a new CFO.

“On behalf of the family, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Paolo Dell’ Antonio for his exceptional service during his time with the company and wish him every success for the future,” says Florian Rehm, deputy chairman of the supervisory board, majority shareholder, and spokesman for the Mast family.

Michael Volke, currently board member responsible for marketing and sales in Western Europe, North and South America, has been appointed as CEO by the supervisory board with effect from October 1. “As CEO he will be especially responsible for the global development and positioning of the Jägermeister brand and also oversee the North American market. Together with his colleague Denis Schrey (52), member of the executive board, who will be responsible for every global market with the exception of North America, he will dynamically develop our company,” says Winter.

“I am looking forward to working as part of a team with my executive board colleagues to continue writing Jägermeister’s global success story. The brand has incredible development potential and we will work together to continue to exploit it,” says Michael Volke.

Florian Rehm has been appointed as chairman of the supervisory board, also with effect from October 1, 2016. He has been a member of the supervisory board since 2011 and is currently its deputy chairman. “I am delighted that our majority shareholder will be chairing the supervisory board. For a family-owned business it is the best conceivable set-up, which is supported by the entire supervisory board. This will also complete the final stage of the Mast family’s generational change within the company,” explains Winter.

Berndt-Michael Winter, the current chairman of the supervisory board, will remain there as deputy chairman in the future. “Mr. Winter knows the company through his many years on the executive board and supervisory board and I greatly appreciate his experience. We will continue to work very closely together in the future. I am particularly looking forward to working alongside Mr. Volke as CEO and Denis Schrey, his colleague on the board. Together we will work with real passion and commitment to lead this company into the next decade,” says Florian Rehm.
